1st Detroit ser 60 best fuel economy enough power. Cant take to calif.
2nd any Detroit (least expensive to work on)
3rd cummins or mack. Good fuel good power
4th cat worst fuel economy, most expensive to work on. But best power. you can be the first to top the hill. -
Cummins, qty 6 - ISX12 450hp 1650 ft/lbs torque. qty 8 - ISX 15 450 hp 1750 ft/lbs torque, and qty 6 - ISX15 600hp 2050 ft/lbs torque. Engines range from 5 years old to 1 month old. Haven't had any mechanical issues yet. A few electrical gremlins on the truck side.

CUMMINS B5.9 and ISM other than turbos on the ism no problems.

Isx 870 Cummins 435 hp 660k, turbo might need to be replaced now.

EPA2010 Mack MP7 (Volvo D11) 405M, injector cups (warranty, 2 days), DEF doser (waranty, 1 day), otherwise it's been great.
89 E6-350 Econodyne...nothing major.....until the RD it's mounted in was restored, then it got an inframe. Can't beat old iron -
Are any of the current engines' good enough to build off of? What about the international engines? Zipp
