Wow, I mean I know I'm empty, but I'll take 300 miles of this lol...

 

I'm in Elizabeth, NJ. I thought I had seriously screwed up earlier. The two nearest travel plazas by here were both full at 1pm! I took a gamble and just drove all the way to my pick in hopes I could park. Lucky for me, even though the facility is closed today, security at the gate took my info and was happy to let me in. On that note, this place is not the tiny building that shows up when you google map the address. SEAFRIGO is in big letters on the side of the building so it wasn't hard to find.

Could see the NYC skyline from 95. I'm hoping the fireworks show tonight will at least be partly visible.

 

You should be able to the shoot them from barges on the Hudson river.

 

There is a Sams/Walmart about 3-4 miles awayonS Barrington road. Do not park on the street by Maines, the police will run you off and or give you a ticket. When you get there park on the street and walk in. Not a big lot.

 

Had a nice stop by the house for the 4th. Made my way to Fort Worth today for my delivery at Americold on Meacham.

Appears my pickup is across the street behind Mattel. Fort Worth to Hebron, KY.

 

Did y see me waving at ya lol, actually ended up helping a driver get home and gave him my reload.

I'm going to Van Buren AR to pick up and head for WI now, will allow me to meet up with friends for breakfast along the way...another perk from Magnum

 

I'm ready to head North! I've been spoiled being up there this summer. It is soooo miserable down here after being there!

 

Is Elizabeth, NJ far enough north for you? You can certainly have this run if it ever comes up again.

I'm on my 2nd load shift at Seafrigo. Nose heavy first time. Now it's tail heavy. Closest scale 7 miles away was broke. Next closest scales are 30 miles out of route or 45 miles in route. Needless to say I'm a little tired of driving all over an area so close to NYC the Manhattan skyline is visible and Im still exactly where I started.

On the plus side, I just called the truckstop with the scale 7 miles away and its now fixed.

 

I used to live in Elizabeth...and moved for a reason. I grind my teeth anytime I have to go near there anymore...which I frequent

 

At least they're buying you a good meal!
