Not enough. The op needs to learn market rates.

Hey don't let anyone on this forum bad mouth u for taking cheap freight. Heck this whole forum breeds cheap freight. If your business is profitable at that rate or like u I said it gets u to a better paying lane more power to u.
There r plenty of knowledgeable ppl on here who will help u out.

    Tempii and Princessleia Thank this.

Thanks! I don't take anything personal on here, like someone else on here told me "live and learn" and boy have I learned from cheap freight. I really appreciate all the knowledgeable people on here and everyone's advice

    Good point revin..

I Badger the Broker for even attempting to offer a rate like that to someone...New or Not!!

    Vultures everywhere I tell ya.....

So,In Hindsight, Assuming things were to go well...You Just spent 2 days plus on a load of Chips..Burnt $400 in Fuel and made $400 for 2 plus days of work?...I Hope you went in Washington heavy

So now..You lost 5 days.....A Claim will ensue. Just an overall Pain..

Princessleia.. PLEASE.. DO NOT let this broker try any BS with you. Even though a claim will arise. You are Still DUE your freight Charges and Demurrage.. Some of these Brokers will try to dissolve your freight charges in assuming you were a "bad girl" or "Bad Boy" and had a claim.....

Don't let them treat you like a child. Read up on your commerce rights..If you haven't already.

So we are going on day 7 of waiting for the brokers to find a warehouse and we are also considering talking to a lawyer about this whole situation. Do you guys think we have a case? Or are we SOL? We called the insurance and they aren't being very helpful, also called the shipper and they said they already have a solution but can't give us any info..

Thanks stayinback! I will be reading up on commerce right for sure. So if they make a claim will it be going on our record? Like for other brokers to see and try to deny us freight?

    Just wow.
Bridges I've never crossed, so I'd be guessing. I hope you tell us how it all finally turns out. Even the guy I work for here in town stretches the blanket on things, so even if I tell him your dilemma, I can't be sure what he says is true.
I thought your broker had a place for the load yesterday?
This is such an awful situation.
