Is anyone familiar with their relocation standards if hired? I know you have to relocate within 250 miles but could you just get an efficiency apartment or do a room share situation? Or do they want you to go all out and get a year lease house with an electric bill? Or do they even verify this.

I moved 1800 miles for the job. Luckily i have family here i can live with. You will have to get your CDL where you are going, so you will need a permanent address in order to get your hazmat. On the first day of orientation they will check to see if you have your CDL with an address within 250 miles.

Not what they told me. In fact, I know of at least two people who lived in motels on their days off until they had their time in to transfer to their preferred DC in their home states and they never changed their licenses.

I'm going to be moving, but we're having a house built that won't be ready by the time I start. Thus, I won't be able to receive mail there to "establish residency" and get two pieces of documentation indicating my new address that my new state requires. Additionally, my new state allows 90-days to establish residency before I'm required to get a new license.

Walmart told me that was fine as long as I updated my current CDL state of issue with my new medical card expiration date info.

Perhaps it varies from DC to DC, so I'd just ask them before you start orientation.

You can't make a blanket statement like that. That's because insurance varies from location to location. Some have an HMO option, some do not. There are also different providers.

Is it the best? Probably not. But I do know when I was off several months with kidney failure , I paid my part and they paid theirs without question. In fact, one of my doctors commented how fast they paid in contrast to other companies.

Once again, not what they told me.

    Refer to my previous response.
