You will get plenty of experience now that you are solo. There was 6 of us in my class and I got plenty of help. Who is your trainer? Also ALL trainer's have manual transmissions for that reason. Even when every vehicle is replaced with AUTO-Shifters the trainers will continue to have manual transmissions. Good Luck

His name is Perry. I don't know what his last name is. I met him my first day at school, and then again when he met with my roommate. Super nice guy. And from what I've heard he likes to run hard. That's good, because I don't want it to drag out longer than necessary.

Not true at all. There are trainers with autos. Millis will eventually be 100% auto.

Did another pre-trip today. It was supposed to be my roomate's turn but...Oh well, the more practice the better. Off to the yard again. Today was blind side parallel and offset lane change. Weirdly, I am better at the blind side parallel than sight side parallel. Offset lane change is really simple. I discovered something today that I wasn't aware of previously. Once my training here is done and I go to test for my CDL, I am responsible for the cost of the test. Not a real big deal, but I was not aware of that. Because I am choosing to go test in Wisconsin and use a third-party examiner, it will be more expensive, but the test is much more lenient. Totally worth it. Tomorrow is more time on the range, I will going through all of the backing maneuvers to get all of the practice I need. Since I am now the only student, my wheel time will be completely unlimited. Thank God, because my alley dock sucks and needs work. Peace y'all, updates coming tomorrow.

Ya Perry was the 1 name I was hoping to not see. I've never met him but let's just say he has a reputation amongst millis drivers that majority of us have heard of him. Good luck and I hope you and him work out great together. However if you have issues with him don't hesitate to request a new trainer. You will not be looked down upon if you do, believe me you wouldn't be his 1st to do so.

You will be fine testing in Wisconsin. The tester is a good guy and wants you to pass. Just remember the lil things like don't switch lanes in intersection, cover the brake if traffic approaches from side road, etc. Also pre trip he rotates the section every student. Student before you had A you will have B and 1 lucky person gets the whole thing(that was me lol). Again any questions feel free to ask I went to school at Richfield and tested for cdl in Wisconsin

I'm starting to put 2 and 2 together. You seem to know a lot about Millis and apparently you know Perry. What are the chances that you are the guy I see at the shop all the time wearing the firefighter shirts?

I have heard nothing but good things about him. Ohio is notorious for their testing and how awful it is. Just like their state troopers. Every morning I sit on the throne and give birth to a new Ohio trooper.
