Ok so today I have been told from my ICA you have 100 mile radius then you have to tell us were and what your doing. This is because on Sunday my new I phone reset while I was sleeping (I over slept by 3 hours) as many of you know I run hard I'm not FW doing 3 or 4 drops a day(Love FW) . I like 500 to 900 mile loads. I was behind because the 14xxx trailer needed 3 tires and delayed me a lot. Then black lives matter closed down I 40 in Memphis. I actually stayed at a TA aka truck stop 6 th time ever in my history of trucking. So I call in as requested now mind you I'm on an Amazon (hell) load which I hate Amazon on many levels but I can't make it there the guard says "who cares about black lives matter our Amazon loads matter". F them I was loaded with soap and paper towels for their facilities. So rejected take it to yard. So to my point I have a great load from Columbus Oh to Ca mega dollar Schneider cancelled my load to get me there so I bobtail.

Enjoyed beers and homerun derby in Cincinnati last night and called in and asked for an empty what your 350 miles away .... Long in short they thought I would go another 285 miles out of my way to grab an empty I just said I get better mileage bob tailing.

The exchange with my ICA was ok but I don't see anywhere in this contract where I have to tell Schneider I'm bob tailing anywhere if I don't take a trailer. Thoughts?

I was looking through the truck stop truck driver job magazines.
    Pretty sad actually.
They all mostly promote themselves on anything and everything BESIDES pay!
    Like...
Come to ***** trucking, we have Western Stars!
Come to ****** trucking, we get you home on time!
Come to $&%*#$$ trucking, we have family owned and oriented!

Most all of then don't mention what their pay scale is. I mean isnt that what's most important in a job?
A lot more of the O/O jobs posted pay... none more than $1.05 a mile :biggrin_25513:
I get mad at crappy trailers and silly things at Schneider sometimes but my goodness when I look at how bad all these others jobs are that's when gratitude for what i have sets in.

To your point @freightwipper Dart advertises "industry leading pay & great home time". If they're the industry leaders, I'm selling my truck and working at home depot. Pam just put an ad out for a dedicated run 2900 miles week paying a little over $3000. I made more then that in 1995 and fuel was $.96/gal. I can't get over how cheap some guys are willing to work for.

What is cheap for you... Might not be cheap for others. People at Dart, Swift, Cr England and so on, are making it like people here at sni.

Yup some drivers are happy living out of their truck clearing $500 a week. Hats off to them!
