Ok it's a slow day and I got pulled over for a random roadside last Friday and got a warning. So I'm trying to spiff up my truck, I'm replacing my DOT C2 reflective stripes along my rollback bed.

However I noticed that my new stickers are shorter than the old reflectors. Are they legally required to be spaced a certain way? Aka at least every 24"? Or am I just dreaming that?

Curious about that myself. I have my old DOT strips down on the DOT bumper,.. but no tape on rear deck yet.

No minimum on the length of the strips.Your strips have to equal half of the length of trailer.

That's what the sheet they printed off for me after the painted my trailer last year said. I wasn't sure if that applied to straight trucks so I didn't comment.

Drug this home from up north. Best part is now my personal trailer won't have to make three trips up there.:D IMG_20160715_161803889.jpg

I finally read what truckdad wrote when not tired and it makes sense and is legal AFAIK. He isn't using the winch cable, which as you mentioned, is illegal because it doesn't have a wll rating.

His chains that are pulled tight by the machine have a rating and Chewy could have secured his 4 machines only needing 8 binders.

Two of the more popular aerocab Pete's out there. My guess was 386 merely because of the year. There are some really good looking 386's on the road.

I did do an image search for a 386 before responding, yes it's a 386. We do have a couple new 579s... In automatic..... Only a couple though, rest of the fleet for the most part is made up of Freightliners and Internationals.

I'm not a huge fan of the 579's exterior stylings, what do you think of it? I'm sure it drives nice and all but it really doesn't get me excited.
