I'm not sure I understand how you would chain it then @truckdad. Could you explain it like you would to a 4 year old. Maybe with a crayon drawing. Lol

I might add if I can, I will hook onto the wheels of the farm tractors. And I like to use the holes in the wheels of our dump trucks. image.jpg image.jpg

My company bought a huge supply of that gold 5/16" chain last summer with that finish. A lot of it has worn off now, but it definitely resists rust better than typical chain finish.

Almost every tractor out there at least has a weight bracket on the front and a drawbar on the back, sometimes a clevis is needed to make it easier...

I personally don't like to rim hook, I prefer to grab frame, but rimhooking does take the suspension out of the equation,, to some degree,,

    johndeere4020 and truckdad Thank this.

@truckdad Have you been running the "new" truck???
You commented about the "MiniVan" steering wheel,,
    and guess what,,
    I now have one aswell.
And I miss a nice solid and smooth wheel...
I don't care for the rubberized kinda spongey circle thing..

Also the truck came with nice lugged drive tires with lots of tread left, but all caps.. and about day 4 with it one decided to granade,, in a big way. Big Yay!!!

@PeteyFixAll The thing is STILL in the shop. Wet kit going on now FINALLY. It sat in the yard for almost a month. Our mechaincs are way busy. I pulled our bottom dump for 1 load 3 weeks ago and the oil pressure dropped to under 20psi. Kicked on the idiot lights, cut the horse power, almost didnt make it up an 8% grade. Oil filter issue, cracked element they say. I'm with you on the steering wheel thing. I am getting anxious, I made 7 moves yesterday in near 90 degree temp with the old 85 KW. Bout kicked my arse!!

You worked for over 40 years now your making 7 moves in 90 degree heat. With all due respect you suck at retiring.

JD, I'm just "semi" retired. lol.. Truth is I like to work, I like a little extra cash, and I'm still in good enough shape to do it. I'm not real fond of pulling the end dump though, but this outfit needs a couple drivers bad, and I cant stand to see ANY truck sit cuz they cant find a driver. And they compensate me well.
