I get it I was just poking at you. I also understand the end dump thing, we run a small fleet of dump trucks and a couple of times guys have asked why we don't have dump trailers to pull when there's no lowboy work, this usually ends up with a kicked shin or some toes stomped on.

@johndeere4020 The end dump work isnt so bad if its just a load or 2 but the mind numbing round and round bores me to death. We have 3 big (to us) jobs in a 10 mile radius goin now so you can guess what its like. We do mainly underground so theres lots of rock & sand to be stockpiled at jobsites. @Chewy352 We need another geezer like me so I and he/she can work a week on and a week off. Also need an experienced end dump driver that doesn't "forget" to dump his load. If you can believe that.

I feel the same way when pulling a belly dump. I will not do end dump trailers or side dumps. I have seen too many of them on their sides for my comfort. Give me a bridge beam any day over those.

Tell the boss to give me some time and I'll be an old experienced geezer trained the way he likes. I've got family near there so if the pay was right . . .

They are/were newish, when the pic was taken. They are grade 70. I'm trying very hard to buy quality gear, but I'm still on the fence on Chinese Grade 70.

I agree with the boring part. Sometimes if we have a truck sitting and I get in mid day they'll ask me to run one load of stone somewhere I don't mind that at all. But we're like you we do a bunch of underground utility work and the last couple of years it's been real close to home and it requires a lot of stone to be stock piled. So you go to the quarry then 15 minutes to the job then 15 back to the quarry then rinse and repeat.

    In full agreement..
a couple turns is one thing, but hauling out of the same 3 pits day in day out,,,,,,,,,,,
    Mind numming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this area usually avg an hour a turn, depending on job site, etc.. Tight roads uphill "both ways" so 6 to 10 rounds a day with a blanket divisible load permit with the truck on it's knees begging,,, chew a set of tires off in a little over 30K miles usually getting under 5 mpg.......

Sounds like fun, sign me, NOT!

That's not bad once in a while for a change of pace.

    For permanent though, I'll pass.
