I forgot about them. My grandparents had one of them. It was dark brown and you slid the little lever on the side to the letter you wanted to look at.

I gave her my 900 number. It's only $3.99/minute. I'm a professional listener. I only drive truck because I might get bored listening to women.

Sarah is your typical 2nd shift waitress. Early to mid 20s, nice looking with her hair pulled back. Married with a kid, and a "man" who's been between jobs for 5 years. Try to explain to her that if she had a Man, she wouldn't be working 2nd shift, and you may as well be speaking in tongues because that makes no sense to her. He sits around smokes week and plays video games, and she's worried about some other girl stealing him. Yeah, he's cheated a couple times before.

And you sit there with this dumb look on your face, because what she just said defies all logic. You look at the driver next to you, and he has this dumb look on his face too. "Great! It's not my brain that's failing here."

Might just be the other driver is dumb tho ;)

    Old phones:

I've had a rotary. But years back I heard the story; when phones first came out my grandfather owned a lumberyard- had need of a phone.
Phone number was -------, ny #7.
Over the years the number grew. Always ended in 7 tho. I always thought that was cool. Just kept having another number or two tacked on the front.

I'm the same way, I'm a numbers guy I remember the plate numbers to my Pete and beam trailer that I haven't pulled in 6 years heck I still remember cows numbers that have been dead for 25 years. The problem with phone numbers is I only see them 1 time when I enter them in my phone so I don't commit them to memory.

Yea, it was a treat to go to our Grandparents houses. They had TV.
My Mom Parents even had a color TV.
We finally got one when I was about 7 years old.
When I moved out, my dad then bought a remote controlled color TV and had cable installed.. Thanks Dad. lol
Funny thing is though, I came home for a visit at Christmas time.
He just bought the new TV.. Well it had volume, either full loud or nothing.. I kinda laughed... He had to take it back after the holidays to get a different one..
