Yep. I'd go out to turn the antenna, my dad would hollar to someone to bang on the wall when I had it where he wanted it.

@Chewy352 I am not qualified to comment on your chain job, but those pretty pinkish red walls reminded me of a place I went to in Pahrump, NV years ago where I sat down and played a white grand piano for a couple minutes................

I guess my family was "rich". We had a motor on ours, there was a box on top of the tv, you turned a round knob and the antenna moved.

Can you imagine any kids reading this? Ha! Having a remote was a luxury!! And when cordless phones came out. Or "get off the internet, I need to make a phone call!". Darn kids today have it easy :p

Much to a few of my ex-girlfriends chagrin, my house has no A/C either. They wear less clothes that way.....

My chains are rated for 4700 lbs. Half the weight of the coil is 23275 lbs. The cross chains get full wll so that's 9400 lbs. Plus the 2 horseshoe chains which I'm counting as direct (indirect, I always mix the two terms up) cause they pull to one side of the trailer not from side to side add another 4700 bringing the aggregate to 14100 lbs. Then I've got 2 4 inch straps which add 10800 lbs bringing the aggregate to 24900 lbs which exceeds the wll requirement for the load.

Now if you're saying you'd add one more for peace of mind that's one thing and I'd agree with you I probably should have but the fact that the securement met legal requirements should be noted.

That diagram is good for chain placement but does not take into account the size of the chain. A truck with 1/2 inch chains would not need as many as I would.

I saw someone do that today. Seems like it would do a better job preventing telescoping.
