I'm home everyday! Work 8 hours. Wouldn't mind a laydown run though if the right one becomes available
Why is anyone thinking home every weekend and it's a good a good thing?

If you can't make any money being home on weekends then your with the wrong company period.
JReding, Md420 and Doing_flatbed_nc Thank this. -
So 14 an hour for 14 hours and you'd be better off at McDonalds? That's pretty spot on. The OP just works for the wrong people, I'm home every day, and my take home averages 900 a week...

Think when I started I split .11 cents a mile with a trainee then went on my own and made $.19 cents a mile. Brought home about $450 a week. Worked hard for it. Company would do what they could to take money out of your check. I seldom got home. Even on holidays. Didn't much care about being home. I was 21 and just looking for a bar with women and truck parking at the time. I had a girlfriend I didn't care too much about at the time. She my wife now Lol.
I liked trucking. I think I had more money then than I do now at $.62 cents a mile. I'm home everyday but I like the alone time on the road. I could easily run the road and be gone for weeks at a time and not care a bit about it.Dave_in_AZ and Lepton1 Thank this. -
