Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I have a bunch of books and internet on my phone. I can also quite happily lie in the bunk and stare at the ceiling while listening to music.

I had all the grand plans to get a tv and PlayStation as I enjoy gaming,but I don't miss either of those.

To be honest I rarely have the time to even watch tv.

I have no family that I need to see or needs to see me. I left "home" fully expecting not to be back there for 6 months to a year.

 

Nope. Not under a load. Don't get paid.

 

Did you have prior experience driving?

 

I wouldn't stay out for a long time even if I didn't have a family. I had my fill of extended time away from home during my twenty years in the Navy. Those that can live in their truck that long can save a lot of money though.

 

Lots going on there. Just today a lady approached me in the driver's lounge and asked if I was one of her drivers. I told her I don't know if I am as I have no clue who you are.

Apparently as of this past monday we now have an HR dept and she is the manager of it.

 

The owner ops i heard talking about them had no idea why they were on the yard.

Lots of rumors float about and if one I heard is true those trucks won't get Abilene graphics but that of another company that Abilene supposedly bought or partnered with.

 

They are basically Freightliners in a pretty dress.

 

Whatever you bring you will have to sleep with it on a twin size bed. If you are 5ft tall and 90lbs you can bring a huge bag. If you are larger than the average bear, pack lightly!!

 

Hope they are offering that again this year.
