What about you oil level? Had a Detroit that would do that when it went 1.5 gallons low.

Typical clutch switch looks like this. Willing to bet that the shop played with the pedal height adjustment or linkages when adjusting the new clutch. Usually the spring touches the top face of the clutch pedal arm.

Uh, no. I always make sure this 'ol kitty is squared away on all fluids and such.

@wore out and @NorthernMechanic and others.... y'all were spot on. When they adjusted the clutch, they left it so when you let off it entirely, it was stopping short about 2" (that's inches to y'all in Canadia! ;) :D) short....just enough to not contact the switch.

Thanks fellers! Y'all have rainchecks for a cold beverage or three on me! :)

    Hi!
Just got my truck out of the shop the other day. Just got a new motor. It's a 96 Kenworth W900L with just short of 1.5 million on the clock.
When I got back on the road I noticed that neither the Jake or cruise ctrl is working. They both work if I hold the buttons on.
Any idea, what the issue is?

    Thanks in advance.

Check the clutch pedal, use the top of your foot to pull it up. If this works, the return spring is worn, and or the pedal linkage needs to be greased

I did check the clutch spring. Not the issue. But thanks for the reply.

Ok, it is possible that the sensor on the clutch pedal is bad

What do you mean it works if you hold the buttons on?

The jake brake will work if I hold the button on the steering wheel in. The cruise will work if I hold the button in. But as soon as the buttons are released, both stop working.
