That's ok. Doesn't an old saying go "early to bed and early to rise" or something?:)

    Early to rise,
    Early to bed,
    Makes a man wealthy,
    But socially dead.

mje I work tandem division for "Concrete Supply Company" in Fayetteville GA. We do everything from concrete plant supply / construction job support to residential needs and as I've said before you don't know "real trucking" until off road with 64,000lbs gross!

Do the math: that's routinely 14,000lbs on steering and 25,000lbs per each tandem axle ( I now SCOFF at the 18 wheeled OTR tank trucks and sand wagons that we also have ) in traffic your JAKE is ON constantly prefer to save the brakes for emergencies only!!

I too arrive at least a 1/2hour prior "punch in" receive monthly "safety bonus" to pressure wash/scrub truck almost daily most rock quarries are messy, definitely a losing dust/mud battle!

Of course running over (NOT!) 4-wheeled cel-phone fiddling IDIOTS is a rewarded plus too!!

Yeah, I've always loved that line. I'm all for more pay and more home time, but could never figure how to get the "more miles" into that equation. I don't want more miles, I want more pay and more home time.
