I never untarped before they opened but I did have all but maybe 5 to 10 bungees off and all but a couple straps loosened or off.

Load securement is going to get me in trouble here with my big mouth and a stubborn streak.
If you had a wife and that wife held a 30 pound baby in the lap when your vehicle smashed into something, the G forces makes that baby for a few moments a thousand pounds if not more.
Now if you have a load like the 52000 pound coil on deck and hit a wall I think it will break loose. I just hope that by the time it either mashes me in the cab or flattens someone it gets it over with quick.
Evaluate your chain for working strain and also for breaking strength. I don't care to know steel or metal's hardness etc but it needs to talk to you by creaking a little bit now and then and you know you got it just so. If it is too hard and wont flex or accept a shift in weight loading during heavy breaking it will just snap. POP! Then the coil on there is gonna go aha.. mash time. No way. -

I definitely agree whoever is ready first should go first. Especially with my new trailer.

I feel stupid asking this question. I bought 3/8 inch chain from a trusted source about 2 months ago. Asked for G70. I'm looking at the links today, and they have BU7 inscribed on them. Is this the manufactures code for G70?
