I made good money while I was at Schneider. Now, I make much better money here at Trimac but I never went broke working for the Pumpkin. the advice I always gave my students and I would give to anyone, working for any company is this. Complain when you are not happy. Your dispatchers, DBL's or whatever they are called are too busy to take personal note of your well being. If you don't complain then they just assume you are happy. Truckers have a history of being world class complainers, so it is your duty.
I am not being funny, if I am not getting the miles then I literally have to ask the question as to what the heck am I doing out here? I will give an example. Once I had a delivery to Iowa and once I started unloading there was a bad leak on the customers end. They had recently installed a filter and someone had forgot the O-ring. It was Friday and they could not get the part in till Monday. Schneider wanted me to sit all weekend and pay me 65 dollars a day. I told them that if they did that then I would quit, quite simply, I cannot work for that little. I got them to pay me 160 a day for it.
Notice, my complaint was not trivial. I had done nothing wrong, it was the customers problem so why should I be punished? The point is, that if I had not complained I would not have received the extra money. So, if you are not happy, complain, give them a chance to make it right.duck65, TennMan, Waggledaddy and 2 others Thank this. -
A&R is out, I don't have enough recent experience for them.
Still really leaning towards SNI bulk, but do you think I would have more consistent income with SNI regional van? -

I'd go with Schneider Bulk for tanker or Freymiller for refrigerated. I know you didn't ask about Freymiller, but in my opinion would be better than Schneider van. At least Freymiller has APU's.
Abilene Motor Express will probably take you also. Excellent reputation and 100% no-touch freight. Trucks run 68 mph.
Here's my take on it:
Schneider Bulk
Abilene Motor Express (68 mph)
FreymillerLast edited: Jul 27, 2016

What about going back to the gas/tanker place you used to work
Either way I'd go tanker maybe 6 months might be enough experience to move on to a better tanker jobChinatown Thanks this. -
Yeah SNI regional van is not enough pay, however Abilene Motor Express has driver-facing cameras.
OP have you looked into Averitt, they're a regional carrier in your area and they pay decent from what I've gathered. -
