Orientation start as your first day or is it after stage three and you are in your own truck?

When I was with Roehl, you had to go through their week long orientation before being hired as ann official employee. Guess I was thinking the same.Redtwin Thanks this. -
So they bring in 10 drivers, 2 are no show, and then the cut 3 to fill the 5 opening they have.
Abilene works a bit differently. (My opinion) If you are invited to Orientation, chances are very good you will be hired. That's why we have people that may not hear back right away... They are doing all the background checks and stuff prior to inviting you to come in.
Unlike others that invite on the first call. They are just getting paid to put warm bodies in the Orientation seats... To be cut later. -
Yeah, it took Abilene a few days before Sandra Holmes contacted me regarding orientation setup. I co-own a small dental lab business with my brother and just this past week I had to send Sandra some information stating that I indeed was co-owner, things of that nature.
I was also told to "update" my application in a few weeks (as per DOT rules) so that my application is not older than 30 days prior to start date. Soon after, Sandra will send me an itinerary regarding travel arrangements to Richmond. (Someone want to pick me up? I'm right off I-57, lol.) -
