We don't change too many fuel pumps anymore. Fuel pumps are easy to check with the right tools. In servicemaxx you can see the pressures and how the pump is commanding itself to achieve those pressures. During a hard pull the fuel rail will reach 32000 psi. The engine will command this and also measure actual pressure. You can plot a graph and watch rail fuel pressure desired against actual and it better match. Normally they do. If the pump is bad the actual will always be lower slightly than desired. Also you can see fuel delivery pressure which is normally around 90 psi. Lastly you can see fuel pressure control percentage. The harder the pump has to work, the lower this percentage goes. Anything under 25% duty cycle means the pump is working harder than normal to achieve the fuel pressures desired. This literally takes 25 seconds to review after recording a 0-60 snapshot.

With my truck, the fuel pressure was a fraction of what you state. Changing the fuel pump on my 2013.....the second time did the trick. Might have just been an anomaly.

The low pressure fuel pump is piggy backed on the high pressure pump, so unfortunately any low pressure system problems does mean the whole pump has to be changed which sucks.
