I came from Landstar myself. Started here in February.

A lot of people think Landstar has higher paying loads because the Landstar guys always talk gross revenue before Landstar takes their cut. Everywhere else talks revenue to the truck.

The board here is much different. You can typically only see 3 days out, but for the most part, this company really only books 3 days out. Don't let it worry you. I put quite a bit fewer miles on my truck, net just a little less, away from home a lot less and a lot less stress.

That sounds good to me I live in Oregon so hopefully i can find some decent I-5 loads to keep me busy but if not there should be enough to at least get me home when i need to be home.

Oregon can be tough. Where in Oregon? I wouldn't do just I-5. Average rate is better if you can figure out a triangle with one tip in SoCal. Then do some short runs in SoCal before heading back north.

As for getting home, it's on you. Take as much or as little time as you want when you want. I am home every weekend. I may go ahead and work next week, but I'm not sure yet. I keep telling my wife that and I just keep showing up at home.

We run out of a Lowe's DC near there, in Lebanon which has some decent rates. But a lot of Portland area freight is on the cheap side, but like Mick said SoCal is the hot spot and a lot of the better paying freight runs up I-5, so you shouldn't have much of a problem getting home.
