I think we will need to agree to disagree. On this whole thing my views are, While kr used the truck in his media show to push his agenda, I didn't see bruce using jeffs truck to pump his business in the same way. The only time i saw him even mention the truck was either on krs radio show or at a kr event such as the cmc or krs seminars at truck shows.
And i strongly disagree with your analogy that kr and Bruce are the racing team pulling the shots. In my opinion based on my views of how i see things in life, the racing team analogy is better described as jeff wanting to own a racing team, hired kr as his promoter and head engineer. And hired bruce to build the engine. Jeff is the boss and calls the shots cause he is the one writing the checks.
my biggest problem with all this is that people are wanting to pin more on bruce than i think he can be legitimately held responsible for. He is the engine builder. Nothing more. Things like The Evans coolant problems are not his fault. However charging for installing microblue bearings and then not installing them absolutely would be his fault. However as i said above that is a big enough expense that i simply can not accept jeff would not have hired an attorney and sued to get his money back. And until one is filed i will keep thinking there is something else going on. And considering jeff and his wife stopped updating that trackthistruck page over a year ago, it makes me even more unlikely to just take their word for it. Almost makes me think bruce got a cease and desist order against them, which wouldn't be given by any judge unless they were making false statements against his company. Or they were given an out of court settlement and shutting up was one of the conditions.
In short it just doesn't pass the smell test for me to stop doing business with a guy that I've known since i was a kid. 30 years of experience dealing with him or the word of 1 guy that was obviously in way over his head?

Here is one of the earliest posts from track that truck. How you could deny this truck was built by PP is beyond me!

Also it was stated earlier by someone that it was a complete running truck when delivered to pp. Is this true or not? If so then obviously pp was not the dealer. If not true then please detail the sequence of events.
Edit to add: i read your link and it clearly states it was delivered as a rolling glider to pp. But it doesn't make pp the dealer. They did the engine install (and assuming the tranny, buying a glider with a tranny defeats the fet tax advantages). So now I'm on the same page with you as far as sequence of events. But still other info needs to be clarified to discover how much of this bruce was involved in. Who placed the order with kw? Did pp make the build order or did jeff? Or did kr? If pp is dealing directly with kw on the build order or is he out of the loop until the ruling chasis is delivered to his shop? These minor details make all the difference.
2nd edit: fitzgerald is hands on through the entire process. You sit down with one of their sales guys and put a build order together just like you would when purchasing a new truck at any manufacturer dealer like kw, pete, volvo etc. They even handle the financing paperwork like a manufacturer dealer. Does pp do any of this or are they hands off with everything except installing the engine and tranny? Again, this may seem like a minor difference but it isn't minor. It's a major distinction.Last edited: Jul 31, 2016

Instead of asking if PP received a complete truck, go to the Track that Truck Facebook page. You will see that the truck was delivered from Kenworth via piggyback, and PP put it together. If anything, KR's role is only as an advisor. For crying out loud, even the trans was built by or for PP!Big_D409 Thanks this. -
How certain are you that pp to market complete gliders for sale? Cause that is news to me. Or do you mean he has posted a few pictures of gliders he installed the engine and tranny in for a a few guys that sent him a rolling chasis? He has always done engine installs. Again there's a big distinction between buy a complete glider from us, and let us build and install your engine and tranny in your rolling glider.
Granted i don't read a lot of industry publications anymore cause they have turned into little more than ad campaigns for ooida and always whining about the big bad man getting rich off the drivers hard work, so if he was advertising there i wouldn't see them. -
I'm willing to bet an out of court settlement came from this. Jeff and Kathy mentioned Craig from MB stepping up and helping out with costs. Then shortly after everything came to a close.
My guess being the lack of microblue present in the rebuild more than likely led to a "behind the scenes" settlement. Otherwise anything court related between the two parties would have spread like wildfire.
In the audio show when KR hosted Bruce and Jeff, he claimed to have no knowledge of any problems from the signature truck. Definitely not something I'd want to hear, since he did have some involvement in it. Bruce claiming he told Jeff to not change tunes, turbo, go to other shops, etc... lead me to think that Bruce didn't want others toying with "his" truck/work/whatever you choose. Meanwhile Jeff and Kathy were seeking results that Bruce failed to provide.
So really, much of this falls on Bruce and KR. KR spec'd the truck, Bruce built the motor according to it, all on Jeff's dime. Before that truck left the shop, there should have been 100% guarantee it wasn't coming back.
If I was dumb enough to do that, I would be an annoying driver to both Bruce and KR.
However the only ones that know the truth are KR, Bruce, Jeff, and Kathy. All we can do is argue and speculate.spyder7723 Thanks this. -

Why, when you admit that you wouldn't know if he were advertising or not, are you insisting that PP is not making Gliders? -
I'm not insisting he doesn't put engines and trannys in glider kits. I'm insisting there is a major distinction between what he does, which is installing an engine and tranny in to your truck, than what a glider dealer does. That's one of my main points. My other is that this signature truck wasn't his baby. It was krs baby. As far as pp was concerned this was just one more truck that needed an engine and tranny. No different than the hundreds of others they have done in the last 3 decades. They don't care if your truck is a glider, a new truck, or a 35 year old 359. If you got the money they will rebuild an engine and put whatever after market stuff you want in it. -
There very well have been some money given back to jeff because pp screwed up and installed regular brains instead of microblued bearings. That's possible. Another possibility is a snake oil product that wears away despite their claims to the contrary. Another possibility is there was a mix up in communication and Micro blue bearings were not installed, and Jeff was not charged for them. Only jeff and pp knows this.wore out Thanks this.
