Hey just wanted to share with all of you my recent experience with being OTR and really craving some TV while on the road. I have a plan with Verizon and although they offer great coverage their prices are outrageous especially when you get into terms of data usage. I don't even want to touch on the subject of truck stop wifi- it sucks. I have Hulu Netflix and HBO Now on my phone and do keep up with about a dozen or so shows but I was blowing my data out of the water. I went to Walmart, bought a $29.99 T-Mobile 4G hotspot, called T-Mobile and had them run a little credit check, then added a 6GB data plan to it. The beautiful thing is Youtube, Hulu, Netflix, HBO, Google Play Movies, and a ton of other apps do not cost data- they're unlimited. I can slash my verizon bill in half and stream unlimited with my hotspot. Just wanted to throw that out there for all of you if you happen to be in the same situation as I was. Thanks.
**just wanted to add when you call T-Mobile to activate you have to get at least a 6GB plan and tell them you want the "Binge On" feature which allows unlimited streaming**

I have a regular phone plan through T-Mobile, 6gb. I use binge on at least a couple hours a night.

Look at cricket if you need better coverage then T-mobile offers. They cap speed at 8mbps (more then fast enough for HD.) But has good coverage. But unlimited doesn't have hotspot. (There ways around this but I won't get into it.)

Are't you still using 6 gigs of data to stream the movies? At least.

The Binge On means you aren't using the allotted 6gb of data. Once the 6gb is used up, you don't get to watch Netflix anymore.

With Binge On, Simple Choice users on a qualifying plan are FREE to stream unlimited video on your favorite services like YouTube, Netflix, HBO NOW, and many more without using a drop of your high-speed data. Nothing to configure – all automatically applied to your qualifying plan. Streamers, go ahead and Binge On.

I use my sprint phone to stream movies and tv. I have unlimited data anyways so its not an issue then i have a MHL link for my phone which mirrors my phone screen to any hdmi television. I already have my phone plan, the tv, so all i needed was the mhl adapter because ive got tons of hdmi cables lying around the house. The plug from samsung cost about $50 to 55, but you can get a cheaper quality mhl adapter from walmart for around $20

You can get google chromecast for much cheaper and stream to your tv WITHOUT hdmi wires. I think roku can too. And not sure which, but one of them can actually mirror your phone screen also. It's been a couple of years since i played with em.

So what is the Binge service and how do you get it?

    Dominick253 Thanks this.
