Hi everyone,
Here I am in the land of Mack-E6 and Shonuff and Dumbdriver and J and many other greats. Lots of Fritolay trucks running around. Mains Food and Paper as well.
Macks right the restaurant selection around here blows I ended up going to Dominos for dinner. Any how just got back from grocery shopping at Weis never been to one of those before because we don't have them in Ohio.
Tomorrow the fun starts fun in the sun. It's interesting around here though and I kind of like it. The northeast corridor is near my hotel I saw the train go flying by. Anyhow that's all I have for now.

Keep us updated Mike, and welcome to the NE.....don't know if that's a good thing or bad...lol.
There's a couple truck stops around your area. There's a Pilot in Perryville, Flying J around Havre De Grace I think, Petro, TA, at DE, MD border, and a couple by the Fort McHenry toll.
Good luck and try not to cuss too much because of the traffic. -
Domino's?
DOMINO'S?!
Good luck, @Mike2633 . Have fun earning that Northeast trucker cred! Keep us posted!MACK E-6, street beater, Mike2633 and 2 others Thank this. -
You made it! I just got back from my northern NY run, but I'm off for the next 3 days (scheduled personal days plus reset tomorrow).
Skip the area truck stops, they absolutely, positively suck. The ones in MD (Jessup T/A, Perryville Pilot, MD/DE border Flying J) are almost legendary in their unpleasantness. Coffee at the Wawa/Sheetz/Royal Farms is much better than truck stop coffee typically. As for restaurants, there are a few in a cluster off MD-22 just south of 95 (Beards Hill Rd). I seem to recall quite a few on 40 between Aberdeen and Havre de Grace as well. Should be able to find anything you need up and down 40, from White Marsh to Havre de Grace, though that would depend on how you're fixed for transportation off duty.
The Maines yard is a few doors further down Perryman from your yard. Frito Lay is off 715 north of 40, but we are on Perryman all the time for backhauls. -
Keep heading Norte` . . . get you some LOBSTER!~ OH DANG... I'm still stuck on that Hispanish, sorry!!
Kudos, Mike....
Be safe, man.Bob Dobalina and Mike2633 Thank this. -
I know right Domions??
Very JV.
Here right now at The King of Prussia Mall one more stop left.
I'll post more once I get back.
In the land of @Dumdriver today Philidelphia suburbs Plymouth Meeting, Ambler borough, Germantown Pike which I guess really is in Phillidelphia.
Any how will talk later. New trucks and trailers.
Bob Dobalina, G13Tomcat and Sho Nuff Thank this. -
As soon as your finished with your last stop, I would get the HELL outta there. Traffic all the way down to MD will be a nightmare, especially after around 3-4 pm.
If you ever plan on going over to Jersey, remember that trucks are aloud on the Parkway from exit 1 in Cape May all the way up to exit 105. Nothing aloud beyond that.
Be safe out there.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Aberdeen. You are talking my home stomping grounds. How much has changed over the years.
You are now going to be a warrior doing battle with the NE traffic. If you have a smallish truck you get into places I cannot with my big truck (And I used to haul for Darden in Aberdeen feeding 4 particular Red Lobsters in Jersey each weekend... fun times... fitting a full 18 wheeler into the back door... and tire thumping robbers trying to get 'my' seafood.... I think clubbing robbers like seals was a stress buster for me several of those weekly. They ran because the fear of the Law was greater than little old me... (Surprising...)
Don't get me started on the Bridges. Ive probably still spit out the paint and rust from the #### things all my life. such as it is.
There is one thing you need to be ready for on 95 between Havre De Grace south to Baltimore at all times... all lanes of traffic in a panic stop faster than YOU can stop. When 4 or 5 lanes of crazy cars all at once want to skid to a stop NOW at once... YOU better be able to stop faster or take a wall. They have this herd think along there. Some of my worst stops took place on that #### road. I did not hit anyone though... Ive stepped down onto trucks and hoods out of the truck and learned what it takes to stop 40 ton quickly in the pre-ABS days at great cost to pads and tires back then. -
