Ive gotten 52K coil belly onto a Ravens Aluminum Covered Wagon before. But skosh fuel because the weights were so close on the CAT with monstrous precision. Scared me badly that first load. Then I develop a craving for them. My securement was 20 chain and 12 strap. All of everything I had on that truck. And even then it might not be enough should something happen.

the conestoga i once pulled, I think was 13 ft or 12.6 feet. can't remember which. It wasn't quite as high as a van trailer. I got better mileage pulling it. The first truck was a midroof with a fairing added on top. the second truck was a full condo. And had a longer wheelbase.
And got better mileage then the midroof.

Big enough to toss through the coil and the binders fit the chain.

I got bit pretty good recently about the precious half inch chain, Im just as happy not to get into all that. The company issues chains and binders and I throw them on.

At some point I will. Maybe tomorrow. Some are hard to believe as they were. Remember all of us have different stories in life. Let's hear a few of yours.

I stopped telling tales when I was a kid. I figured out it wasn't worth it and nobody believed them anyway.

Amen to that. Reality is strange enough for most of us that the fiction just stands out as.....well; fiction!

HA! I'll leave 48 and 46 for the heavy haul guys...... I'm kinda partial to the 15 - 18 area myself. Gotta admit that I ventured into the 20 area though.

That's all I can do full of fuel. PITA sometimes, but with my direct stuff it isn't an issue.
