I'm starting this thread about five days before my orientation is set to begin so anyone interested in following it can hop in make a short post and when I begin posting my experiences you'll already be inside.
Now, I'd like to say right up front that I'm posting this in Favorite Trucking Companies Forum at the suggestion of @ethos with the understanding that if things aren't so great we can always move it.
Also, if this thread turns into a Trans Am bashing by former drivers, I'll stop posting all together. I'm well aware of the negative views of some people regarding TA and for all I know at this point they may be 100% correct, but this is going to as objective a thread as I can possibly make it...good, bad and indifferent. I don't mean that someone with a legitimate point to make should set on their hands but there is a limit and flaming attacks will just cause everyone to lose interest and then what is the point.
Ok, with that out of the way, the countdown is on and I for one am looking forward to it.

My reference for that is people just need to keep the stories to themselves or talk after class. Makes for a long day when the instructors get interrupted by all the supertruckers or know it alls!

Are you L/P or Company? TA was fine to me back in '03 when I worked there. I just hated the hometime I got.
Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
Lease purchase plans give you all the financial obligations of a owner operator but the freedom of a company driver.
Being paid by the mile vs being paid a fair percentage is only going to make you work harder to meet your financial goals.
Before anyone enters into a lease purchase deal I highly recommend refreshing your business math skills. If your not good at factoring costs, you are just hoping for success.
Best of luck to you in your endeaver.tscottme and Broke Down 69 Thank this.
