Insurance is honestly one of our weaker points, it's expensive especially for family coverage. Typically in your first year you will earn $52-$55K as an experienced driver, in the second year maybe in the low $60's depending on the amount of hometime you expect.

At this time we don't have runs into FL, several in the Atlanta area so hometime may be a challenge, I do know we have at least one FL driver here currently. Tony will be back in next week - he's a straight shooter but make sure you and your hubby check on the insurance costs and budget around 2,200 to 2,600 miles per week.

The good stuff about Magnum is numerous, it's basically as close to being an owner operator without actually being one and you work with top notch equipment and staff. We now have runs from coast to coast, but without NY, CA and a few additional states. Once you learn the lanes you can to a certain extent pick your own runs with no forced routing or fuel solutions.

    Hope this helps, good luck!

Just had a bangout week. About 3600 miles from Friday 29th to today. Used up all (and I mean ALL) my 70 and got my last load scanned in by 4pm.

On the downside, I am MISSING the entire week on my drill-down because someone (cough..starts with CH..) screwed up my truck/driver ID because I switched trucks last Thursday.. Been calling about it since Tuesday, was assured it would be fixed today before payroll. If it is, it's not visible to me.
Going to call and bug someone about it Monday I guess.

Other than that, a bangout week, but OMG stay away from I-80 in Indiana! They closed down the entire highway for 20 miles yesterday WB for about 2 hours without notice for construction at around 10am.

Numerous loads are not pulling miles into the system with the software update, had to have adjustments made today on a load myself.

It would be a good idea to check your drilldowns...

I have gotten to the point that I truly LOATHE McClanes as a company.

There are a few decent warehouses out there, but other than 2 I can think of, it's ALWAYS a PITA there. On the upside, I get paid $30-60 for sitting in my sleeper most of the time I deliver to one.

Checking the drilldowns is the only reason I even saw there was a problem. I know several of the dispatchers are tired of getting calls on this. As of today at 3pm (the last time I talked with Chad) it is still unresolved.
