Yeah, but thats what happens when you run most your miles in CA but rarely buy fuel there. And most of my fuel was bought in OR, which doesn't tax at the pump. I knew I was gonna get hit, just wasn't expecting that much. LOL

Well, I had $400 in my fuel acct savings whatever, and with the 2290, i'm still on the hook for $700. Guess, i should double that from 2.5 to 5 cents/mile or more.

But, I've been saving between $70-$100/week on fuel using the NASTC fuel card.

I don't know if LS is much better, at least from all i've heard. I don't know if i have the patience to deal with the brokers via phone. And I like my drop n hooks :p

I have friends that work there lol n according to them 1700 dollar checks is horrible.they bringing home double then what we do. I do know interstate freight is really cheap. Hub group and a couple other container companies have they guys making 1700+ and they home 3 days a week

I glanced at HUB group website, they mention 3000+ miles/week, makes me believe they pay per mile, if so thats a no go in my book........well unless its something like 1.50.

My experience with LS drivers is they always speak in gross numbers, without LS cut. Maybe because on their load board the revenue is shown before the cut. I would be skeptical of the $2500-3000 take home pay. Actually, im calling BS on it. Van rates aint that good. Now, if they pulling flats or step with some heavy or OD loads then maybe, but even then, thats a tough sell..... just sayin.

Van rates are good if a company like interstate doesn't haul it for cheap rate. Ls doesn't book everything cheap n not saying they don'thave Cheap freight but it ain't like here. Won't you ask some of the guys that's there n not the cry babies lol n yes hub group is per mile it depends where u live n run. In dallas area 1.38 loaded n like 1.20 empty. Round trips. They don't pay for anything but ya truck n fuel. Just yo let you know I'm not arguing like these guys up here lol. It ain't that deep just fyi. But I'm simply going by what others show n tell me
