Home is still much safer than in a truck that is poorly insulated, and the windows open trying to be cool in some of the areas truck stops are.
AC not working, is there a DOT regulation about this?

problem with using ice and cooler. is your blowing already hot air into the ice to cool the air down. a full 20 gallon cooler will be all water in one hour. and did absolutely nothing to bring the inside temp down when i tried it.
it's a good idea that basically works on the same principle as a swamp cooler. the solution would be to buy an actual swamp cooler though. but them small ones that used to be a dime a dozen are very hard to find these days. -

I know if mine goes out it will go in the nearest shop. I will not sleep in a 100 degree tin can.
F- the company and their load.
Happened to me last Summer in south Georgia. No dang way you can sleep in that heat.
I told them to pay my hotel bill or they can send a driver to get the truck and i will fly home.
They fixed my AC and paid the hotel bill!

Heat exhaustion leads to heat stroke....
Symptoms of heat exhaustion
.... Confusioned thinking
.... Upset stomach
.... Dizziness
....perfuse sweating
.... Dark urine
..... I don't see why this isn't a health issue , heat stroke is permanent brain damage
.... I don't see why there isn't a law protecting the driver from this -
