The roof on my 379 leaks water where my horns are mounted. The paints peeling on the roof. I think I may take it to a body shop and have the horns removed and have the holes filled and then repainted. I had the truck at Peterbilt in Knoxville getting some repairs. They put silicon in where the horn airlines go through the roof. It didn't fix the problem. I could try again myself.
I talked to the Knoxville Peterbilt body shop about horn removal and paint.
They wanted $5000. That would have included a few more roof lights and relocating an airhorn.
I didn't go for that deal. -
Instead of silicone, find a tube of M-1, it's an industrial adhesive sealant. Stuff will setup under water and is amazing.Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this.
