I browsed the transport ads for Eau Claire, WI this morning and came across this one:

    OTR POSITIONS AVAILABLE

I need a few drivers that can run 3,500 miles - 4,500 a week every week. I need drivers that can stay out on the road at least 1 month at a time. Starting pay is .40CPM - .45CPM on ALL miles depending on your mvr and psp reports, experience, and time out on the road. Your weekly checks should be $1,400 - $2,000 a week.

I suppose it is theoretically possible to somehow do six straight days of 680 miles a day, which would be about 4,000 miles a week, but... nah.

Do they pay all speeding tickets and provide log books by the case? I don't want to run like that week after week. I can run with the best of solo drivers (with 65 MPH truck) but an occasional 3500 mile/week is all I want.

Probably a 1099 job with an 80 mph truck. See quite a few of them here. Mainly guys running down LA or Yuma for produce

Hey now you better listen to me everyone of you
We got a lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta work to do
Forget about your woman and that water can
Today were working for the man

    Well pick up your feet
We've got a deadline to meet
I'm gonna see you make it on time
    Don't relax
    I want elbows and backs
I want to see everybody from behind

'Cause your working for the man working for the man
You gotta make him a hand when you're working for the man

So I'm pickin' 'em up and I'm laying 'em down
I believe he's gonna work me into the ground

    LindaPV and Rubberduckin Thank this.

Not for me. Not without a team. And even then I might, or actually we might pass off on that. Those days are gone forever. Short of war; the hot shooting kind...

If it was drop and hook on both ends, Eu Claire to Salinas, Los Angeles, or Yuma, it would be doable. But somewhere along the way, in that months period, there would have to be a couple of resets. And if it is a 1099, NO WAY i'd do it at 40-45/mi. Maybe at 75c/mile.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I need a few drivers to give their soul to my company. Pay will be whatever I decide to pay you. You will live in the truck, and will need to be creative with logging in order to earn a living here.

    That's what I read.
