Anywhere from $1.15 to $1.17/mi, depending on length of run, and I have to say that I am lazy and only ask for 2800 miles per week, and after ALL expenses, my net to the bank, around $1300-$1400. I do not gross that much per year because I fly out of the country every 4 months for couple of weeks. My sanity is worth more

I am considering a lease with quality, what are some of the better companies on their list, in the opinions on here. I don't have to make a fortune, but would like to bring home decent pay.

Like many others I have been doing extensive research into the pro's and cons of quality. As well as finding some success stories and quite a few failed attempts (my condolences and respect to those who tried and failed).
I myself was referred to quality by a very wise man in the industry who handles the business/economic management side. His advice was simple. If you don't have the capital, the credit or the experience to become an owner operator. A company like Quality is the perfect opportunity to see if you possess the drive, business acumen and ability to graduate to O/O.
Why? His explanation very simple. "you can just walk away".
Cost are higher to rent/lease this unit. Commitment must be extremely high and ability to run a business imperative.
What a great proving ground. Of course success is hinged on getting a truck that is capable of providiing the opportunity to earn and aligning with a company that has the freight to provide revenue.
I myself am still in the research stages. I have successfully ran my own non trucking business as well as successfully ran a 20+ unit trucking company in the past. A few years ago I traded in the 100 hour work weeks in the stuffy office, returning to the mobile office with 3 window view. This has got me back to doing what I love. TRUCKING
However do to slower economic times I don't have the cash flow to finance myself into O/O status. But, to offer another perspective of this Lease Operator perspective. You can lease on your Quality truck to companies that offer you the freedom to run your own loads or theirs.
I will share as i learn or venture into this process. I will suggest taking the time to look thru all of Qualities trucking partners found on their website. I found no less then 5 that provided a true 0/0 relationship with the L/O regarding freedom.Last edited: Aug 13, 2016

So, these guys lease you a truck and set you with a company (as long as you qualify) and you can walk away at any time, no penalty, no credit ping, nothing?
