Nope, I didn't even give my SSN to employers until I was certain I wanted to work there. Making up a fake one sounds like a good idea to me.

It is against federal law to use a social security number as a form of ID. That was one of the big things when SSN came out. People were afraid of government ids being required. Now of course it is common place but it is still illegal. I would check with an attorney if you lost money do to it.

The SS number was issued by a government registered agency to secure the rights to your personal equity as a tax payer. You are the collateral used by the federal goverment to borrow money from the central bank so they can create money. Money is created by debt, which will be paid back to the bank with interest at a rate determined by the Board of Directors of the holding company and the U.S. Treasury.

This SS # will in fact reveal any felony criminal activity on record with all 50 States when input into the national codex retrieval system.

Failure to comply disqualifies the driver.....

Fake id or numbers are considered an attempt to defraud.

So, go ahead and refuse, but do not try to conceal or be deceptive.....it could result in being blacklisted on future loads.

BTW, many shippers require a photo copy of the CDL upon receipt of their load at the time of checkout.

Cargo thief is the driving force behind this. Trucking has always been a soft target for criminals.

That's why it doesn't bother me. I don't like them having my personal address, but if they want to drive all the way from Seattle or Portland to North Carolina just to steal my TV and have my wife shoot them in the process, so be it.

What did you use to get hired by the comany to pay tax to the goverment?

    Do have a checking account?

What about a Credit Card for electronic purchases?

You are responsible for securing its use.....when hacked.....the burden is on you my friend to prove it wasn't you.

Its not about you, its about that thug stealing a trailer filled with HD TVs or a Load of regulated pharmaceuticals.

Were not talking about steel pipe....

Go back and read my comments, there is no reason for them to need a SS number. As for the other, how easy is it to steal a truck/trailer and show up at a shipper? A good hacker can easily hack the qualcom or other dispatch system and use that info, sold on the dark web, to steal a load.

Scramble up the last four digits and you are good to go. Only your employer, the IRS and your bank need to know your real SS number. To hell with the rest of that nonsense.

    Ooops Thanks this.
