    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me as to where I can go or as to who I need to talk to in order to get a copy of my DAC report so that I can see as to just what the trucking companies that I have worked for are putting in my DAC report as at the moment I just do not know as to what they are saying about me and I need to know so that I can clear up any information that is untrue or out of date.

I was also wondering if anyone might be able to tell me as to how long the information in the DAC reports are good for.

    Sincerely yours,
    Robert.

you can go to www.dacfix.com (they're a sponsor) and they should be able to help you out. they can also help you fix inaccuracies on your dac report.

call the DAC Consumer Department: 1-800-381-0645 (m-f 8-5 central)

Note: Of Course, You CANNOT get a copy online, you must call OR write them to get a copy of your DAC report.

I was wondering...can a company place something on your DAC without your knowledge?

Absolutely! It is very common for them to exaggerate or even outright fabricate negative information and report it to DAC.

Example, you brush against a low hanging tree branch and it pops off the cap on a light on the top of a trailer. Something that could easily happen to anyone, any time and is really a non issue. They may report this a as "a preventable or at fault accident".

TY...I was not aware they could do this without telling the person about it....and I assume there is no way to straighten out or dispute what they say?

They will do it without telling you, and in most cases refuse to tell you even if you ask them. Also the next company who gets that report, reads it, then denies you employment because of it, will also refuse to tell you what they saw on the report...or even if they saw it. They are very secretive and dirty about the whole thing. You can get a copy of your report from http://www.usis.com/Consumers/default.aspx , and dispute false information on it, but from what I hear the extent of USIS (DAC) "investigation" of a dispute is to call the company that put the lie on the report and ask them if the report is true, they say, yes, and that's that. I'm not sure how you actually get it removed if the reporting company responds like that. If they fail to respond, I guess it would be removed.

The whole DAC report thing should be illegal. :biggrin_25516:

the only way to fix it or remove neg info from the report is dac fix. It will cost about 149.00 to use the service.
They also will get the report for you for 49.00 and then of there is inacurate info on there they will only charge you the 100.00 to fix it.
