Just finished my first week "solo"!

    No problems.

For some reason the 2 other guys I attended orientation with are still with their trainers.

I guess mine got tired of me and wanted me out of his truck after only one week!! ;)

    WallyWife and drozzer69 Thank this.

I hope you meant EXCITED, not "exited".

    Two VERY different things! ;)

Training in the truck should only be one week. Not sure what's going on there, unless they had a lot of down time or something.

It could go longer if either the mentored or the mentor thinks it's needed. We had a guy give 2 weeks couldn't get the hang of the qualcom.

Training can be as long as the trainee request it be . If he is not comfortable after 1 week they will extend it .

We were told during orientation to plan on 2 weeks with the trainer.

We had mainly long runs and no live unloads during my week. So, there wasn't a lot of variety of loads and/or exposure to the process. But, I understand the process in general.

During my first week out alone, I did mainly grocery loads and got the hang of them pretty quick.

So, I'm glad he put me out of the truck after the one week.

I've only talked to one of the other guys and he and his trainer seemed surprised that I was out on my own after only one week.

I saw the other guy driving still out with his trainer but didn't get to talk with him.

I'm not in competition with anyone else, so regardless of how long others stay with their trainers, I'm glad to be out on my own. And I'm loving it so far.

Just really looking forward to being officially assigned to a program and receiving my uniforms.

He's going to need to pick one. They will not let him interview for all.

    Emyclark84 Thanks this.
