As I've said before HOMETIME is the #1 reason I'm still here at SNI. it's become more and more difficult to take freight to the house so I Bobtail long miles (315 yesterday) but it doesn't mean I'm naive or stupid and will just let SNI do as they will without me Atleast speaking my peace.

I complain but show me a driver here who doesn't heck show me a driver anywhere that doesn't.

Seems it's ok to complain about trailers, hold times, cs, customers, drop lots,OC'S, even about other drivers but let's not complain about things such as short miles, detention, load board being flooded with drivers but not freight.

Seems like we'd all agree that the truly important issues would be the ones directly related to revenue not the frivolous ones like sliding tandems.

If anyone doesn't like my posts or complaining that ok by me but I still have an opinion and as long as I have the ability to express it and the desire too I will.

If your a choice driver and are Happy and have no complaints or have no complaints you think are worth mentioning great by how does it hurt your business one way or the other if myself or someone else has a complaint?

Guess it's like everything else no 2 drivers will agree but I will agree to disagree.

Last thing if my whining is so bothersome to anyone especially drvrtech77 who claims to have called me out ( on what I believe is a secret because he never mentioned a false claim I posted but then again how can someone's opinion be false) then please ignore me and my posts. If the mods see fit to ban me so be it. If no one responds to me or my posts it'll be just like driving down the highway peaceful.

So in the name of our Bosses (SNI) BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED KOOL-AID DRINKING!

 

I kinda have to side with FW on the miles. It's been this way forever, just like lumpers, and shippers and receivers canceling loads/not honoring appts. It's trucking.

Will it ever change? Maybe, but I don't think so. Trucking changes every day, but it's always in the government or carriers favor, never the drivers.

Schneider is not going to champion the move to change the industry standard of paying drivers. Especially in a down economy when they're fighting for every cent of profit.

Nothing significant will ever happen in the treatment or compensation of drivers, unless the drivers themselves stand together. I've been driving almost 24 years, and do you think this is the first time I've heard these complaints? There has always been plenty of talk, and never any action.

The drivers need an organization with a true leader who will be able to get things done who will not succumb to pressures of corruption, politics and lobby groups.

And it requires drivers NOT to drown themselves in debt. If there was such an organization, how many of you are able to band together and stop driving tomorrow for the cause? Well there you have it, I bet 95% of the drivers reading this couldn't stop working for more than a week. I am debt free and I am held prisoner to no one.

I'm not bragging, it took maturity to realize this and a few years of paying down debt. I had a new house, corvette, jet skis, the whole works. Im so much more happier watching my bank account grow. I don't need a new Silverado although I drool every time I see one. I will have the $ to pay cash in another year.

 

I haven't had a load cancel this week AND I was able to get $1.52 from west coast to east @6k pounds. I have been so lucky the past 3 weeks every load has been under 20k.
