WOW, I never thought they would go under...just like Jevic! ALL the good ones are going under and the IDIOTS are staying up like CR England, Covenant, Dick Simon (Central Refrigerated), SWIFT, JB Hunt and the other morons...I feel so bad for truckers anymore man...

 

he should be able to get it in colorado he was paying his state taxes to Colorado.

 

Thank you. That is what we were thinking. I finally talked to someone at our unemployment office here and the guy gave me no answers, since of course I am not Jeff.

I will let him know though, what I have found out and go from there. What a mess!!

 

Some Driver Appreciation Week At Priority, they really appreciated there drivers!

No Celedon only bought Priority's routes as I am goin to put it, not there trucks, buildings or anything else. Then they have the nerve to offer this, 20 cents a mile for a 15 year veteran tuck driver to drive for them...my man is still hauling Priority's crap trying to get his truck to the Farmington, NY terminal to get his pay, and yeah they promised vacation pay that drivers were owed, woot what one week worth of pay is goin to get people far.

Top it all off to talk about unemployement, state of New York in there unemployement crap as I will put it, states that if the company you work for offers you a job with another company and you refuse it, guess what you're not elligible for unemployement. Glad we live in Ohio because that's where he will be applying for it.

Another company closed there doors yesterday also, but they left ruffley 2500 truckers without jobs, the way the oldman told me, I haven't asked how many Priority left high and dry. But wont be to hard to find out.

 

priorty has left me stranded in Ga with trl. As a O/O they must think Ill just start driving to their yard but,here I sit.The treatment of drivers there was beyond bad.

 

Priority told their drivers they could APPLY with Celadon, but there was never a guarantee of employment with Celadon, so there should be no issue for those in NY.

 

Oh crap! I was hearing about this while I was in Cartersville yesterday. From another(?) female driver for Priority.

I think they acted like a bunch of cowards myself, the way they let you guys and gals know what was coming down. Not even a #### phone call. Just a simple fleetwide QC message.

 

Ok, hate to say it, but there not giving the seperation papers. So Terry my old man's dispatcher is having the security guards make copies of there papers to prove of working there, they also cut the insurance, isn't there a 30 day grace on that stuff? Killed the 401k plan, I have no clue. Celedon did, Priority has contacted there lawyers over all this.

Top it off, haha, Priority driver and Celedon driver got into it in the terminal and the Priority driver punched the Celedon driver in the mouth. Opps it was a slip of the fist...haha!!

Old man will be here in and hour or so, he turned his truck in around 10:30pm, and Priority cut him and three others a check for a bus ticket home, but they all got a rental car which one of the security guards were nice enough to drive to the airport to go get one. I'm told GE Capitol had something to do with Celedon under bidding Priority routes. But then who knows???
