Walmart DOES NOT pay for a pre employement sleep study. They only provided for that after you are hired. Any pre employement activities would be the responsibility of the driver applying for the position.
Walmart here I come!

I have also been told by some Wal-Mart drivers that some D.C.'s will pay for the apnea test, but mine actually withdrew their offer of employment. Neck size less than 17, BMI 30 or under.

Anyone thinking of applying to Walmart Transportation for a driver position that may be at risk for sleep apnea has two options.
1: Get tested for sleep apnea. If positive, get necessary treatment. If negative, be sure to have a doctor sign off on this stating you do not have sleep apnea. If you are positive for sleep apnea and are actively being treated, bring your sleep study results and compliance data from your CPAP machine with you if sent for a DOT physical. Having sleep apnea that is actively being treated will not prevent you from being hired. When I came to Walmart Transportation in 2013 I was already being treated for sleep apnea. No one at Walmart has asked me anything about the sleep apnea because it is being treated and proof of CPAP use compliance is provided to the doctor each time my medical card comes up for renewal.
2: Do nothing and risk not passing a DOT physical. Any driver who is at this stage basically has the job, so why let something like undiagnosed/untreated sleep apnea keep you from being hired for such a great job opportunity. Once a driver is hired, Walmart will pay 100% of the costs associated with sleep apnea treatment.
Ironhead2542, I am glad to hear everything worked out for you and that you do not have sleep apnea. Welcome aboard! -
