Yeah but i mean that only says so much.
For example that says National average for Dry Van is $1.60, I average more than that all miles including deadhead all the while giving up 35%. That's only possible because I do shorter loads and keep deadhead low.

I don't know how much I would trust those numbers either...reefer usually commands a bit higher rate than van.

Home_on_wheels, alpha beta and freightwipper Thank this.

Yeah I'd pass on that.
For the record if I could do things all over again I would do a one year flease on a Crapcadia to see if I could make it... then go to Lonemountain and get a Kenworth.
I've met a bunch of Freightliner ICs here that had emissions problems.
All these trucks it's a roll of the dice. -
What is interesting to me is the south market numbers. Schneider is falling well below the average in Texas according to these numbers, at least from what I am seeing.Home_on_wheels Thanks this. -
Every new truck has problems, but DD15s in general seem to have less than the others. I would also be curious to know whether or not the other ICs you have spoken to idled excessively due to having that crappy EPU that never works right...constantly idling ANY DPF/SCR truck causes problems with the after treatment.centralmi and CJndaTruck Thank this. -
Looks like SFI is trying to lure drivers into those 3 year leases with no money up front all the while charging $4-$5k on a one year.
Those down payments arent money out the window, you get that money back at the end of the term or at least it was that way when I signed up. -
