How are most of you guys setup as far as your business model(sole proprietor, LLC, S Corp)? I'm looking for the best way to seperate my business assets from my personal without going the C Corp route, and for certain personal reasons, I need to pay myself as a W2 employee and keep the business completely seperate.

$200 for a scangauge and you will solve all your missing gauge needs. I have 18 gauges on my truck, and still primarily use my scangauge.

sole proprietor is how I am set up, and how they told me to set up when I was doing a lease purchase in the beginning. You really don't need anything more until you are clearing around $70k after all deductions ($70k being the amount you actually pay taxes on)

Thanks...I'll be open about it...my ex likes to take me back for child support adjustments everytime she thinks I'm making an extra .10/week. I'm just trying to seperate the business so that I can pay myself a decent salary and still maintain a business account without having that raped. The way my county does there calculations, if they start seeing $4k settlements/week, they will probably go after me for that as income, not taking into account the fact that half or more of that covers expenses/business assets etc.

I will say this much...I'm in the same position with a money hungry ex with child support...I operate as llc...have separate bank accounts..one business which sni pays me in and personal bank account..I have a company that does my payroll so I've got my basis covered..I would recommend going that route because what your company makes is not touchable..only what your salary is...also the entire paperwork for truck is it my co's name as well..

    mxpx148 Thanks this.
