apparently, when Windows 10 downloaded, it flushed MS Office.......now, I can;t do a thing with it.....it doesn't exist. What I was trying to do was a system restore to go back to how it was yesterday, but it won't let me do that either.

This is the error message you posted that I was referring to that may have created confusion as to what file was not being opened. Sorry.

I think you will have to reinstall office.

Microsoft says: "Office 2007 and earlier aren't compatible with Windows 10".

I'm thinking the version of office you had wasn't that old so it might not be too much trouble.

I remember needing to reinstall something after the 10 update, not sure what it was... Works now.

10 is much better then 7. It can do things that all previoius OS's were glitchy on. It's like MSFT finally figured their crap out. My only beef. Is no bluetooth functionality. About every 6 months i can make it work. But after a reboot. An update rolls in and shuts it right down again. Same problem on both laptops and 1 computer. 3 different machines.

I like 10 for the most part. But miss some of the things of the past. Those were stripped out. Right now i'm trying to share network connections on my PC. Trying to plug something in to my network using the pc as it has no wireless capabilities and i don't want to run a wire that long to the router. No luck so far.

EVERY time you do an operating system upgrade. There's going to be some work involved in getting your original stuff working again.

As for MS10. Call it windows 10. You confuse the people. And yes, like stated above. You're trying to get a spreadsheet working but the error you posted was a pdf file.

Download adobe again. Go to the manufacture of your laptop and download the drivers for WINDOWS 10. Drivers are software needed to make your laptop work. Modem, Network, Sound, Video, etc.

Do a google query on how to use DEVICE MANAGER. And look for anything with question marks and triangles and what not. Those are items that will need updated drivers. Do a right click on the mouse and click UPDATE DRIVER.

Some of the things you're just going to have to reinstall. Ain't nuttn to sweat or get upset about.
