Just the large 1 and 2's that get stuck in between drives at crappy construction sites.....I never mess with little ones in tread....no time for that!
Those large 1's and 2's will shred a side wall in seconds if you don't catch them before heading down the road!
Do you pry rocks from out of your tire treads?

With the number of gravel lots I travel in a day (including our yard) it's a waste of precious time. If I'm sitting waiting to get loaded/unloaded, I'm reading a book.
-
I pick rocks out of the drives if I'm bobtailing. I park my trailer in a gravel lot for home time and have to hit the highway for a few miles to get home. Like said by others, I don't need some BMW chasing me down with a chipped windshield plus it sounds like I'm being shot at when they hit the back of the cab if I don't remove them.

no, but at every pm i like to drain the old air out of the tires and put fresh air in.
just kidding!Highway Sailor Thanks this. -
If you see it yes get them out from in between your tires.Same with snow and ice, pick that extra stuff off and most importantly always make sure the back of your trailer is free of snow.It accumulates on the trailer lights and license plate which then no-one can see if you have your blinker or flashers on.

I have noticed the stone drilling to be worse if they are super single tires. I don't know why, but I don't think I'm imagining it.double yellow Thanks this.

I will pull them out when I'm board. But, I must say I like the little dents they put in my cab enclosure doors when they fly out of the tires.

For some of us it'd be a FULL TIME JOB!! I haul enough stone to BURY a 4-wheeler, if tail gate locks fail, point is one should not be following anybody that close, no matter what one drives!! I hate those signs that say "Not responsible for objects coming from road"! What the 'ell does that mean anyway? Thank God my truck doesn't say that!! .Should say "If dumb enough to tailgate do so at own risk" but no . . .
Says "We Appreciate You" instead!! ARRGGHH !
And as long as you don't drive a Japanese car, pickup or motorcycle You Have Nothing To Fear from me!!
LOL Anyone ever do the McDonald's ketchup packet bomb?? Or trap an annoying 4-wheeler between trailing HIGH-BEAMS and another's polished shiny back doors??Last edited by a moderator: Sep 4, 2016

If I have time to mine my tires, it's time to have a talk with my dm.
Actually, I don't even look, cuz i might see a nail and start wondering how deep it's in.
I've learned that curiosity really does kill this cat. -
For some crappy companies I drove for ( not for very long) stones in the tires was not an issue. Bald tires don't hold many stones.
clausland and Ric Rabbit Thank this.
