What are (if any) average miles discrepancies on your pay stub?

As in the title ,company drivers ,what are (if any) mileage differences between what you actually drive and what you get paid for?I write down every trip mileage (take it from navigation before I start driving) and usually get paid pretty accurate but today mileage on my paystub is 30 miles short. This is on 2200 miles trip so it makes it roughly 1.4% or $14 difference but it still pisses me off! Yeah,I am this kind of person.Anyway, I wonder how does it look like in other companies?

My experience is that you're always gonna get cheated out of 10-20 percent miles
    There are exceptions
    Check out the Poly threads
They get .50 on the hub
    But they have other issues.

10-20%,holly molly!Yeah,it has been tried with me.That guy told me that it's computer program (Pc miler) counting miles and I told him that he needs to either find a new driver or put that program behind the wheel because I won't drive for him anymore. He paid me for missing miles and the "computer program" was counting miles accurately ever since.LOL.

I have the same issue. There are certain runs I'm losing 30 miles on, they do by zip code so in bigger cities land mass wise, ie Jacksonville Fl, I could be driving 25 miles for 0 miles deadhead. It makes no sense. Other runs are dead on. I complain but it falls on deaf ears, take it for what it is and make sure you ask your next company how they pay.

10 to 20 percent is really steep though. That means 20 percent of your 70 is wasted every week, shesh!

You are stressing about 30 miles on a 2200 mile load?

    Grow up!

Yup!I have a problem with working for free.I already do a lot of things I am not getting paid for and 30 miles is 30 to 60 minutes of work.It happened few times though that I got paid for more miles than I actually drove so I don't know if I should make a scene about it.

Nah I'm the same way so I feel you. I look at 14 bucks like it's food for the day and I budget and plan accordingly for the day. Losing 14 bucks is enough of a loss for me not to roll the dice on mega millions or grabs an extra drink, which really who needs any of it but money is money. It always starts out with 30 miles here and there and then the limit starts to get pushed.

Show them you pay attention to detail or get steam rolled later. Once I had to call about missing layover for 2 months, it's just the fact though, you do the work you deserve the pay. You may not need it but I want every penny out here, I'm living my life in a truck for God's sake. This is no normal job. (Plus my penny pinching has left me a nice sum in the bank over the course of time) and isn't that what it's all about.

Every once in a while the difference is really bad. Most of the time I drive only 10-15 miles extra. Very very rarely it happens that I'll drive 2 miles and get paid for 10. A couple times (I did speak up on those and no one cared) the difference was 100+

HHMG miles man. It sounds like you're getting paid practical if it's dead on most of the time.

Yes I get paid practical and it is indeed dead on most of the time.I couldn't handle being short changed every week because I look at those things from yearly perspective. Some may not care about having $20 a week basically stolen but it makes $1000 within a year period.
