Ultra Cards - If you are running an External Micro SD Card - x10's and x20's units only. On the card should be the class. Around the Class is a letter - "C" or "U". Please note some Ultra Cards will have a "C" around the class, but it shows as an Ultra Micro SD Card.
Do not use the Ultra Micro SD Cards that have a "U" around the class or show the Word Ultra, EVO, and other names from other manufactures.
Micro SD Cards bigger than 32gb are usually Ultra type cards, although you can get 8gb and 16gb Ultra Micro SD Cards.
The Ultra type cards are cheap enough, but are not format compatible. Meaning the Dock will "see" the card and write the New Maps to it, but if you try to run a Diagnostic and Repair what will happen is the Dock will rebuild a NaviMaps folder internally on the TND and actually put files back into this folder.
SDHC Ultra and standard SD cards share the same form factor, but they store data using different file systems.
You will have issues such a routing oddly, not routing and simply crashing.
Here is an Example of an MD5 on good maps versus maps that have been put on an Ultra card. The Checksums on the left are a valid MD5. The files on the right are the files that are corrupted. Note they are DCA's - Map files.
The procedure to correct this is easy.
1. Purchase a Correct Micro SD Card (8gb//16gb).
2. Create a NaviMaps folder on the internal TND.
3. Delete the C:\xxxxx\ComponentCache folder (force a new download of files).
4. Insert a older 0.sdl file in the NaviMaps folder.
5. Start the Dock and download the maps again.
If you do have an Ultra type Micro SD Card or one that is 32gb or higher, please post here so I can get your NaviMaps corrected.
To run an MD5 on your NaviMaps.

Mark

See that's what happened after I attempted a repair on the device... Before I only had a freezing issue... Hence the attempt to repair

Should a new backup be created and old one deleted?

I have a redlight camera.csv file and a low clearance.csv file that I want to add to my custom POI on the TND tablet. Do I just copy it over somewhere? Where would that be? The tablet does not use a dock like my 520.

Lock up and crashing issues prior to version 3790
I am going to give a little background to so this will make a little more sense. The program runs with many threads of data reading and writing to Databases. These Databases are such as miles, fuel, POI's, etc. When the TND crashed (Navi.exe), those threads were suddenly halted in the read/write process causing a Database corruption.
This file corruption is now present on the users TND. Then the user would update. The prior version issues were corrected, but now the user still has file (DB) corruption(s).
Doing a Diagnostic and Repair usually does not correct this since the files are User defined files and a MD5 (CRC file verification) cannot be done as these are dynamic files always changing.
The user will still see issues such as (Navi.exe) errors since the program is trying to access file(s) that are corrupted and usually it will crash. Nothing is wrong with the version or hardware. The user is fighting corrupted DB files. Doing an RMA and then putting your user files on the replacement will not resolve the issue. The user simply moved the corrupted DB's to the new unit.
They are several ways to determine if the users files are corrupted. The easiest way is to look at your Navi/Logs. This is a very easy way. This is just an example of the TND not being able to access the DB because is it corrupted. Do not worry about the date time stamp. This was due to a crash.
IgcSQLiteDB_Impl(381) : [ADVISORY] (3/1/2012 12:04:00) : [14] Couldn't open SQLite database '\IntelliRoute TND\RM\User\Fuel.db'.
This usually will affect any of the DB's in the RM/User and NaviMaps folders. If you see that it cannot open a DataBase then that DB is corrupt. The file or data it has stored is invalid or corrupted. It cannot be saved.
Most the files in the RM/User folder can be deleted and they will rebuild. Any DB files in the NaviMaps can be deleted and the Dock will download them again.
See the attached, this is a extreme case whereas the RM/User folder is corrupted and you see ASCII code. It does not take much to correct this. Any data on any files in the RM/User is gone.
If you feel like you have DataBase corruption then look at your Navi/Logs via a connection of the unit to the computer or the RM/User folder to see if the folders files are corrupted.
If in doubt or you do see the above post here or start a conversation.

Hey Mark, that file looks familiar. LOL.
BTW, the only thing that disappeared was my total mileage built up over the last 3-4 years. No biggie. -
If you docked it sometime in the past the files would be there on your computer. The Dock should restore it.
