The guy I pull for as an O/O here in town, has two of those. I don't even know if they are still there actually. He is self made has about 40 trucks, half company/ half O/O, started out as a driver.
When I went to work for him, I vacationed out of my last job, but my truck was plated yet. He says come on, you can use one of my trucks, no charge, regular rate until yours is ready.
It was a ProStar with a Cummins. Ran great, got 7 to 8. I ask if he'd sell it. He said the two ProStars he had were the two worst decisions he made in his entire trucking career, as they were huge money pits.
That's what I know of ProStars.

OK, says you or what? How are they "cheap built"? They aren't built any different than a 388 or 389 'cept for the hood.....

STAY AWAY!! They almost got me with the cheap price and low miles! There 2012 and 2013's pro star maxxforce with 2-300kmiles on them for 19,999.. What does that tell you? They can't give them away. Seriously think about why a 2000 century with a million plus miles cost more? Maxxforce is garbage

I own a Prostar, makes me good money and not in the shop very often at all, but mines a 09 with a Cummins. Stay away from the Maxfarce and you'll be fine, but your not getting a Prostar with a Cummins for cheap

Same reason generic zipper bags are.

They never work as good as the name brand and at the end of they day....

    They're disposable.

Real Estate is slow, but coming along nicely. Wife just passed her exams too and is not long behind me.

I sold Kenny. Then yesterday went and picked up a 379/spread combo. A friends 'lawn ornament' that needs to stretch out on I-10.

Probably start a tread on it. Should be rolling Sunday.
