Two hours to Lighthouse For The Blind in New Orleans. Was gonna spend the night, but it's New Orleans on the waterfront, so I stopped short.

No preplan just yet. Likely I have one on me, but my current dispatcher doesn't like to send them before I deliver.

Whatever. Long as you keep me moving.

 

Nope, just took the weekend off from blogging.

 

All day in the docks...sigh.

 

Did I mention I really hate New Orleans?

 

Okay, 200 mile day but that's okay. Gotta do 300 by 1300 Central time tomorrow but that's okay too. Due home this weekend to pick up some important mail and get a little break.

Headed to Texarkana for a live unload, then likely a load to Franklin IN or Findlay OH due Monday (for the weekend off).

In just a few months these guys have let me work almost completely out of the hole Smelladon put me into. Gonna be time to shop for a car soon. And we've started saving and investing again in addition to catching up on our bills.

They have their own issues (this is still trucking after all), but a bad week here is as good as a great week where I was.

A friend who still drives there told me yesterday that the downward spiral is continuing. This guy is even more patient than I am (reference the fact that he is still there), and he's about to quit.
