Well, I gotta tell you man. That is bizarre. See, I was wondering why you laughed at my earlier post, but if you are getting this routing through Atlanta, then it certainly may be doing the same stuff all over for you. And that would explain you hating on it. I wouldn't blame you.
However, the reason I was perplexed right back at you is because they actually have really good truck routing a very high percentage of the time when the settings are correct (and they aren't correct almost every time that I do a support call for it having to do with routing.) The only way I can get it to do what yours is doing is to put it in car mode in fact.

The only other things I can think of at the moment are:
    - Turn off that "Active Routes"
    - Go to the bottom and click "Reset to Default"
    - Maybe toggle between vehicle profiles, like tap Auto and then back to "Heavy Duty" or your profile (which is called Abilene.)
    - Back out and tap "Clear destination"
    - Then back out to the main menu and close the app from there (the round power button in the upper-right)

Open it and do that route again. Did anything change? If not, do you have any other "i-device" like an iPad just to check? Because you can install it on as many devices as you like but you have to tap "change device" on the current one to get it to open on another. Just wondering if it somehow has a corrupt load. Because it is acting like it is in car mode.

    @MidWest_MacDaddy

I don't have ACTIVE ROUTES check marked. Whatever that is. Freeways, Divided Highways, Primary roads, ALL options are selected neutral.

And my height is set for 13.6. I don't remember why i have it at that though. I've always gone with 14 as that's max height for the west coast. With all the low bridges that aren't accurately reported. I wouldn't want to mess with 13.6 setting.

Mine always routed me through Atlanta too... you have to click on 285 and push route through here to make it manually go around

I found this support thread. Link: https://support.copilotgps.com/hc/e...w-does-CoPilot-calculate-the-routes-#section3

The part about "Active traffic verse active routes."

I am wondering if maybe that 285 Loop is usually more clogged up than the other routes through there and CoPilot is mistakenly trying to "help" there. If so, then turning off the Active Routes and then recalculating the trip will tell us. If that fixes it, then pressing the "report a map feedback" button and telling them through the app that trucks must take 285 regardless of the traffic clogs will get it corrected.

@jtaran06 - is yours on a mobile device or a laptop? Do you know if you have "Active Routes" checked?

    Thanks.

    jtaran06 Thanks this.

    That looks to be it....

Active disabled routes the loop. Enable goes through city... I reported it. Which do you think gives better routes. Active enabled or disabled?

I feel that "Active Routes" is better for non-commercial.

But commercial vehicles (and not just trucks when I say that) often have additional state and local restrictions based on MANY wacky factors (like time or day, time of the week, etc.) For instance, oversize loads can't move in Nebraska on college football days. I am picking on them, but my POINT is that Active Routes is trying to mash too many factors for commercial. Just because a traffic pattern looks more logical for a car does not mean that a commercially licensed rig can legally go that way. I feel that the most effective use of CoPilot is to pay them the $10 per year for the active traffic - because that is helpful. But the "Active Routes" variable decisions may get you in trouble. Better to err on the side of caution IMO.
