Im guessing he called it quits. Or will when his insurance is up for renewal. Personally i hope he gives leasing to a good outfit serous consideration before selling the truck. I like dy as much as anyone, you just can't make a living on spot market freight alone. Not long term. You need a good core of freight contract customers to get you through these low points in the never ending economic cycle.

I couldn't sell the truck & trailer for what I thought was a reasonable amount before the insurance deadline, so I renewed for another year at minimum levels. I've cut fixed expenses to the bone, so my authority will cost under $10,000 for the next year -- an amount I could net during 2 solid weeks.
