Dont get ####y,Dont think cause your the driver your the boss..
Dont think you can bully around 4 wheelers,Never know who is watching and or recording
    Dont get a peterbuilt attitude
    Resepect the job
Respect the company you work for and the gear they trust you with
Be on time and dont get mouthy with shippers/recivers,build a relationship of sorts with them cause it gets you further when your rushed.
If you get stopped by D>O>T be polite and if they say its a rule or what ever, dont call them out but ask them to give you the printed version of said law/rule..
Get gloves, boots, safety hat, safety glasses, small tool box of tools, cooler even if truck has a fridge and stock up..
Dont live on micky d's kinda crap..Get out for a walk and strech now and then..In 2/5/10 yrs it catches up and you dont really notice.

Yes. Leave your phone and Bluetooth in the truck when you go inside the truckstop or restaurant. Nobody wants to hear you explaining to your wife why you withdrew $100 yesterday and only have $3 left.

Use all mirrors when backing up every time. The first time you use only the drivers side mirror someone will walk behind your trailer while you are moving..... Always be aware of how close ANYTHING is to the passenger side of the truck towards the front when backing......especially on an alley dock backing.
Check your fifth wheel release arm and locking pin ANY TIME YOU LEAVE THE TRUCK/TRAILER COMBINATION UNATTENDED because someone can pull your release arm when you are not looking and you just pull away and your trailer slams to the ground and you break your lines. People do stupid things in truck stops especially if they think you did something to them or they think you stole their spot.
    Mirrors, Mirrors, Mirrors.

Thank you. At school the instructors really tell us about our mirrors and how we have to constantly check to see if someone walks towards a blind spot.
