You won't see anything decent under $15k. $2500 gets you a running 36 year old truck with a cracked frame, rotten air lines and fried wiring lol.

    Lepton1 and BoostedTeg Thank this.

The state you are in will have to insp. the truck you buy with a salvage title if its not fixed yet,you will have to have vin. numbers that you got replacement parts from and those vin. will have to be turn in to state as scraped, after truck passes a state insp. you will be given a salvage title that you can buy a tag with, without a insp. truck you are buying is a parts truck only with a salvage title

My father went down that route with his first truck. He converted a million mile highway tractor to a daycab logging truck. He spent thousands of dollars and countless hours of his time keeping that truck on the road. Logging is hard on trucks and you really don't want an old clunker. After that, nothing but brand new trucks, he traded 'em off every 4 years.

Yeah I know it can be rough on the trucks time and money.. Don't come cheap but I've been dreaming of driving trucks since a lil jit.. And I'm willing to put in the work if I get fed up.. I can walk away from that truck and drive someone else
