Well, picking up here in San Antonio tomorrow and since the trip will only be 2100 miles, decided to be a tourist today. "Remember the Alamo."

On my way to Houston and La Porte. Ended up with 6.5 hrs detention at Newport Cold Storage yesterday. Glad they have an area in back trucks can park to sleep.

Well, in keeping with my favorite Pig's theme...here is my contribution. Walking the riverfront here in San Antonio and decided to give the Lonestar Cafe a shot. I ordered the 12oz ribeye medium rare and it was cooked to perfection, didn't really need the steak knife and it was seasoned perfectly (absolutely no need for any kind of sauce) also had the salad and mashed potatoes. It's reasonably priced at $23 and had a view of river walk to boot....there sure are some hotties out and about today.

ncmickey, Pigbacon and Winnyf1 Thank this.

Good find. Always lots of eye candy there along with beautiful scenery.

Went out to dinner last night with my wife, 2 bro in laws and one of their girlfriends. It's always great to see my wife and her 2 brothers interact since they don't see each other frequently.
We went to a place called "Burger Bach"
It's on 9th St in Durham NC. Sorry. No truck parking... But maybe able to squeeze a bobtail in close...
It's a New Zeland inspired burger joint. Fresh ingredients, never frozen fresh meats.
I had the 'East Coast' Fresh 6oz beef burger with Brie Cheese, garlic aioli, carmalized onions, uncurred bacon and a blueberry chipotle BBQ sauce. Absolutely delicious.
This was my one of my brother in laws burger. He had the double patty one beef one lamb
    image.jpeg
The Wellington... New Zeland bleu cheese, carmalized onions, sautéed wild mushrooms, garlic aioli, brown gravy and a fried egg

The Lamb Nachos we had for an appetizer was also great! Also a perfect night to sit outside on the patio, eat and socialize with the family.
Plenty of local brews on tap

One of my favorite places when on hometime...
